What employee training types do you offer?

Compliance Publishing offers a range of trainings that employees can take, including a certificate of completion.

The following video trainings are available:

Bloodborne Pathogens for Healthcare - Bloodborne Pathogens for Healthcare training costs one training credit per trainee. Bloodborne Pathogens for Healthcare training is available in Spanish after the training has been started. This training contains information on bloodborne pathogens and diseases, methods used to control occupational exposure, hepatitis B vaccine, and medical evaluation and post-exposure follow-up procedures. Time: 1 hour, 21 minutes. Must be taken by all personnel who could come in contact with Potentially Infectious Material. Must be taken annually.

Bloodborne Pathogens for Schools - Bloodborne Pathogens for Schools training costs one training credit per trainee. This training contains information on bloodborne pathogens and diseases for the school setting, methods used to minimize occupational exposure, hepatitis overview, and medical evaluation and post-exposure follow-up procedures. Time: 45 minutes. Must be taken by all school staff who could come in contact with Potentially Infectious Material. Must be taken annually.

HIPAA, HITECH, & Omnibus - HIPAA, HITECH, & Omnibus training costs one training credit per trainee. This training helps employees understand the new requirements on patient privacy and security. Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes. Must be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.

GHS Hazcom - GHS Hazcom training costs one training credit per trainee. This training covers changes contained in the revised OSHA standard requiring the use of new GHS labeling and a standardized format for Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), formerly known as, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). Time: 45 minutes. Must be taken by everyone. We recommend this course be taken annually.

DoT: Regulated Medical Waste - DoT: Regulated Medical Waste training costs one training credit per trainee. Introduction to the DoT regulations, accurately classify and identify medical wastes, packaging, marking and labeling RMW, completing the shipping papers and RMW manifests, training requirements, and safety overview for handling RMW. Time: 41 minutes. Required for the persons who package medical waste for transport. Required to be taken at least every three years.

Electrical Safety - Electrical safety training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. This training covers electrical safety requirements necessary for safeguarding employees in the healthcare environment. Time: 30 minutes. Recommended for hospital, surgery center, and nursing home staff. We recommend this course be taken annually.

Fire Safety - Fire safety training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Fire safety training looks at how fires start, reviews steps that can be taken to help prevent fires and discusses what employees should do in case of a fire emergency. Time: 30 minutes. Recommended for hospital, surgery center, and nursing home staff. We recommend this course be taken annually.

Hand Hygiene for Healthcare - Hand Hygiene training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Proper hand hygiene lowers the spread of infection from patient to patient. This training helps employees understand the importance of proper hand hygiene, and provides guidance on which hand hygiene protocol is best for their work environment. Time: 20 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.

Ergonomics - Ergonomics training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Ergonomics, fitting a job to a person, helps lessen muscle fatigue, increases productivity and reduces the number and severity of work-related MSDs. This training helps ensures that workers are aware of ergonomics and its benefits, become informed about ergonomics related concerns in the workplace, and understand the importance of reporting early symptoms of MSDs. Time: 25 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.

Sharps Safety - Sharps Safety training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Sharps Safety training covers the nature of sharps injuries, the risks of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, how and where injuries occur, describes the types of engineered sharps injury prevention devices, and discusses safe work practices to prevent sharps injuries. Time: 19 minutes.

Personal Protective Equipment - Personal Protective Equipment training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Information on Personal Protective Equipment, guidance for the selection and use of PPE, donning PPE, save work practices with PPE, and when to use different PPE. Time: 25 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel who have patient contact. Should be taken annually.

Workplace Violence Prevention - Workplace Violence Prevention training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted.

Medicare Fraud & Abuse: Prevention, Detection, and Reporting - Medicare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Anyone providing health or administrative services to Medicare enrollees must compete fraud, waste, & abuse (FWA) training requirements. Learn how to identify what Medicare considers fraud & abuse, provisions & penalties, prevention methods, and recognize how to report fraud & abuse. FWA training must occur within 90 days of initial hire and at least annually thereafter. Time: 70 minutes.

Medicare C & D Compliance - Medicare C & D Compliance training costs one training credit per trainee, unless otherwise noted. Time: 19 minutes.

Sexual Harassment Prevention - NY - This training course fully meets the Sexual Harassment Prevention training required for all employees who reside in the state of New York, shows you better understand what is considered sexual harassment, shows you how to report sexual harassment, and shows you external reporting options. Although this course specifically meets the New York guidelines, this course may be used for employees in most states. Time: 60 minutes with testing. Must be taken by all persons employed in the State of New York. Must be taken annually.

Texas HB 300 - Texas HB 300 is required for employees of all covered entities that are based in Texas or do business with Texas residents, in addition to the HIPAA training course. Texas HB 300 expanded the HIPAA definition of covered entities to include any entity or individual that works with protected health information in any form, and applies to all organizations, including those that are not covered by HIPAA who maintain a website that work with PHI. Must be taken every two years.

Florida Biomedical Waste 64E-16 - In Florida, facilities that have employees that have the potential to come into contact with blood or OPIM must complete BOTH the federal Bloodborne Pathogens and this Florida Biomedical Waste training. The Florida Department of Health regulates the packaging, transport, storage, and treatment of biomedical waste. Time: 60 minutes. Must be taken by all personnel who could come in contact with Potentially Infectious Material. This course must be taken annually.
