What can I do with a medical waste manifest after servicing a customer?

Medical waste manifests can be edited, transferred, consolidated, dropped off, and recorded for final treatment.

This article is meant to give a high level view of the tools you can use when dealing with a medical waste manifest. Some of these tools will also apply to other service types, like shredding, roll offs, solid waste, etc.

You have serviced a medical waste customer, which has resulted in a manifest service ticket being created. What can you do now?

In the Pickup & On Truck report in the affiliate portal, or using the Edit/Bill page in the driver's portal, you are allowed to edit, transfer, or consolidate manifests. If manifests have been consolidated into a new manifest, the individual manifests that make up the new consolidated manifest can't be edited or transferred individually. If a consolidated manifest gets transferred all of the individual manifests that make it up will automatically get transferred so they stay with the consolidated manifest.

Using the Dropoff page in the driver's portal allows you to drop manifests off at a treatment facility, and the dropoff will then appear in the Dropoffs report in the affiliate portal. All manifest documents will have a dropoff version created with updated information. Individual members of a consolidated manifest will have the entire consolidated manifest document attached to the end of its normal dropoff document, for regulatory tracking purposes. Manifests can still be edited after dropoff.

Using the Dropoffs report you can also record a final treatment, for regulatory purposes.
