How to consolidate individual manifests into one.

AS A FOLLOW-UP TO THE ARTICLE PUBLISHED 6/29/23, MANIFEST CONSOLIDATION CAN BE COMPLETED IN THE ADMINISTRATION PORTAL, IN ADDITION TO THE DRIVER SCREEN. THE PROCESS IS VERY SIMILAR IN EITHER SCREEN

STEP 1:

Create a new customer which will be presented as the generator for all consolidated containers
Recommend customer name is a version of the Transporter name

STEP 2:

Assign the new customer as the default for consolidation transactions

EXAMPLE 1
CREATE A CONSOLIDATED MANIFEST FROM THE ADMIN PORTAL

Manifests have been previously moved to a transfer station
Pickups and on Trucks Report identifies manifests

CONSOLIDATION STEPS:

Select "Transfer Station #2 as last truck
View report
Five manifests are identified

DEFINE CONSOLIDATION:

In this example, five manifests will be consolidated into one large container
Choose "Consolidate Medical Waste Manifests into New Manifest"
Select all five manifests

FINALIZE CONSOLIDATION:

Select type and quantity of consolidation containers
Add service notes as appropriate
Obtain signatures as indicated

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND NEXT STEPS:


Consolidated manifests can be transferred, dropped off, and recorded for final treatment
If a consolidated manifest gets transferred, all of the individual manifests that make it up will automatically get transferred so they stay with the consolidated manifest.
Individual manifests, once consolidated, can no longer be edited or transferred individually
Individual members of a consolidated manifest will have the entire consolidated manifest document attached to the end of its normal dropoff document, for regulatory tracking purposes.
